Advanced External Skeletal Fixation Workshop

An advanced course developed for veterinary surgeons, surgical residents, and practitioners with a high level of orthopaedic interest and experience. This 2-day course will cover advanced hybrid and circular external fixation principles, as well as emerging trends in the field, through a hands-on curriculum.

Throughout the course, participants will develop skills in constructing frames for complicated fractures, non-unions, bone defects, and other limb salvage techniques. Attendees will learn how to carry out a pre-surgical plan to correct common angular limb deformities and correct antebrachial length discrepancies. Modern biomechanical and surgical principles will be discussed, providing attendees with the latest advancements in external fixation.

Attending this course will provide surgeons with the opportunity to refine their orthopaedic skills, deepen their knowledge, and stay up-to-date with the latest surgical techniques and advancements in the field.


Objectives:
