Various styles and sizes of rings serve as the basic structural element of circular ESF and hybrid ESF frames. IMEX® hybrid and CESF systems are divided into two basic sizes, the standard and mini. The standard is constructed around 6mm threaded rods and bolts while the mini utilizes 4mm fasteners and rods.

5/8 rings are available in a variety of sizes for the standard CESF system only. Most commonly used as a stand alone ring with an open area to avoid anatomic constraints, these rings can also be closed with the corresponding 1/3 arch.

Available in sizes for use only with the standard (6mm) CESF or hybrid ESF system. Most commonly used as a stand alone frame element at the proximal humerus or femur, but show up in a variety of creative frames.

Available for mini and standard CESF or hybrid ESF systems. Popular around the hock and elbow to allow range of motion without significant reduction in ring holes available.

D-squared rings feature two hole patterns – an outer hole pattern places holes side by side for alternate positioning of fasteners and structural elements while the inner pattern retains the same diameter and hole pattern of corresponding single-hole full-rings.
