Morbidity in orthopedic patients is characterized by an animal's fracture healing experience with an applied fixation system.  The following image sets indicate the relative morbidity of fixation pins placed at different areas of the tibia, humerus and femur. Fixation pins should NEVER be placed into high morbidity “Red” zones.
